Welfare
Again, the trick is explaining the ways the poor will
be better off without welfare. Emphasize that you are not unconcerned
about the plight of the poor. You just have different ideas on the
best way to help them.
-
Ending the minimum wage will increase the number of jobs.
-
Bureaucrats have no incentive to reduce the welfare rolls, since they will
simply lose funding.
-
What will happen to the poor when we reduce the federal government dramatically? They will finally be
taken care of. Repealing the income and Social Security taxes will leave a trillion dollars a year in the private
economy. That money will buy a job for everyone who can work, and charity for everyone who can't.
-
If you had $100,000 dollars to help the needy with, would you give it to
a private charity or a government bureaucracy? (Generally they will
say charity, ask them why they say that. They will convince themselves
that private charity is a great idea)
